Right on the corner of Juta & Biccard Street, Braamfontein, lies a creative working space which serves as a hub to a host of many black ‘member entrepreneurs.’ With The Hive having already partnered with thirty-four members in the past and adding on to that: The new fourteen partnerships launched this past Thursday, has risen up to forty-eight.

As a proudly black run initiative, The Hive, has overtly chosen to stand with the young black creatives and entrepreneurs in order to further sustain and support black businesses. With the launch that took place as round two of an idea which was first realised in 2015 – the community of member entrepreneurs alongside The J&B Hive characterise a significant win and change in the way brands are moving forward as per pertaining to black businesses.

The launch in itself was a successful showcasing of the talented and many other gifted business minded people, who can all proudly call themselves game-changers. They have earned a place in The Hive community, to continue adding value to their respective crafts. Noting that they will not only benefit but are to make a difference – to contribute to the community itself.

Along with the impressive work the Hive community is doing, not only do the members benefit. The entire black entrepreneurship database does too – from the entertainment that was offered on the evening of the launch to the many hopefuls that were present. The order of the evening was celebrating and witnessing young people dare the future. All the whilst remembering what black excellence is about. The invitation is open to anyone that is willing and wants to take their network to greater heights.

With this kind of collaboration on the forefront of groundbreaking and unique innovations, the youth and economy of the country is on a definite rise. So a major shout out to J&B and The Hive base for being a platform that instigates change and pushes the envelope forward. Furthermore, for believing in the future of young black entrepreneurs and their businesses. What’s even better is that this is only a start to many more exciting collaborations in the future; the bar has sure been set high.
