Just Move Records have made their appearance of 2017 and boy have they returned with a bang. Last Friday, the Ticketstroom team had the time of their lives as they attended yet another edition of a Just Move Records Showcase at Kitcheners in Braamfontein.

Kitcheners is one South African bar with the most versatile music policy – this is stamped by the colorful crowd that fills the dance floor. You can find yourself having a conversation with a lovely brunette hippie or a cool bloke from Australia all under one roof jamming to some good raw house music.

This time around Kitcheners was to host Just Move Records(JMR), one of South Africa’s leading Deep House record labels. The JMR crew uses these events as an opportunity to showcase their music production and hot releases from their stable. The first Just Move Records Showcase for 2017 featured Jef Black, Eddvin, Shervaan Bergsteedt and Mig Madiq on the lineup.

Jef Black blessed us with some downtempo sounds, which would remind you of classic Kwaito beats. Then came Shervaan, the man from Mars and he took us on a journey through space and time with his deep, dark sounds. Eddvin brought heat on to the dance floor as he increased tempo and had everyone dancing and the awesome evening got final touches from JMR boss, Mig Madiq.

People really did dance their socks off on that wooden dance floor. All Djs dished out proper sets and when the clock hit midnight, the dance floor did really get steamy. The latest release under Just Move Records is “Lost In A Groove” by Winnie Deep and Robyn K, which includes remixes by Da Brownie and Dwson. The EP is available on Beatport and will soon be available on other leading digital stores.

The first episode of The Just Move Records Showcase was sick! The forthcoming editions can only be more ill. If you’re a fan of underground house and good vibes, head to the #SocialAffair which will be hosted by The Jamshack 1520 in Daveyton on the 30th of April 2017. The Jamshack crew will be featuring Shervaan Bergsteedt and Deep Sentiments, who both belong to The Just Move Records stable.
